Lipid Cholesterol Test Strips

The LipidoCare Meter can carry out a multitude of different tests such as a Lipid Profile, Cholesterol ONLY, Triglycerides ONLY and Blood Glucose Tests.

Here we are focussing on the Cholesterol (Total ONLY Cholesterol) test. The TOTAL ONLY Cholesterol test will give a basic picture of your total cholesterol level within your blood.

What do you result show

Total Cholesterol – Desirable Level: less than 200(mg/dL) or 5.18(mmol/L)
Borderline Level: 200~236(mg/dL) or 5.18~6.19(mmol/L)
High Level: greater than 240(mg/dL) or 6.22(mmol/L)

Test Procedure

1. Insert a lipid test strip into the ‘Lipid Test Strip Slot’ of the Analyser. With the Analyser flap closed push the test strip up into the chamber until you hear a beep. This means that the test strip is now in the correct position.
2. On the screen the Lipid parameter will display to say that it is ready to be have the sample applied to the sample well area on the Lipid Testing strip.
3. Open the measurement camber flap. The flap firmly locks into place when it reaches the vertical position.
4. Apply  free hanging droplet of blood directly from the pipette or capillary tune to the sample application area of the lipid test strip. DO NOT TOUCH the application area.
5. The word ‘CLO’ will appear on the screen. Close the Measurement Chamber Flap will appear for the firs 3 seconds and then the 3 minute countdown will start. You must close the flap within the first 20 seconds during the 3 minute countdown otherwise the error code E-7 will appear on the screen.
6. Your result will appear on the screen within 3 minutes. When the test is done pull out the used test strip and discard in the bin. The analyser will shut off automatically in 3 seconds after you remove the test strip.
