Carmellose Sodium Eye Drops 0.5% 10ml

Alissa Carmellose Sodium lubricant eye drops for lasting and soothing relief and protection against burning, irritation and discomfort due to ocular dryness or exposure to environmental factors. This product is a sterile, ophthalmic solution containing carmellose sodium 0.5% in a bottle of 10ml.

When should it be used?

Carmellose 0.5% is used for symptoms of ocular dryness. This lubricant ophthalmic solution has wetting and protective properties which provide relief to the eye in case of irritation, burning and foreign body sensation caused by a reduction in the tear film.

The tear film weakness results from environmental factors such as wind, sun, dry air, salt water, smoke, intense light conditions, prolonged use of the computer, ophthalmic surgery, conjunctivitis or frequent and prolonged use of contact lenses.

This product is not normally intended for use for more than 30 days; if the symptoms persist consult your doctor.

1 drop in the eye 2-3 times daily, use within 28 days of openeing.

Ingredients:

Carmellose sodium B.P,(Carboxy Methyl cellouse sodium) 0.5% w/v, Stabilised Oxychloro complex (as Preservative) 0.005% w/v, Water for injections B.P. q.s.

Precautions and warnings:

• Do not use if the container is damaged
• Do not use if you are sensitive to any of the components of the product
• Slight irritation of the eye, stinging and redness may occasionally occur during use. In most cases this disappears after a few minutes.
• After administration, in rare cases, a slight temporary blurring of vision may be observed due to the viscosity of the solution. It is therefore advisable to wait for a few seconds before any activity that requires clear vision.
• Do not use after the expiry date shown on the carton and container
• Do not touch the eye with the tip of the container
• Wait at least 10-15 minutes before instilling any other ophthalmic drug
• After first opening the bottle, use the product within 28 days
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children
• Do not swallow
• If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before applying product and do not replace the lenses for at least 15 minutes
