PRIMA Triglycerides Control Solution is the tool that allows you to verify the accuracy of the Prima 2in1 or 3in1 Self-Testing meter.
A control solution is a transparent substance that allows you to verify the exact functionality of the test. The solution contains a given amount of triglycerides that reacts with the components of the test strip.
The measurement procedure is very similar to that adopted with a blood sample. Open the control solution and extract the data chip. Insert the data-chip in the diagnostic tool and wait for: 000 appears on the display. A different number should appear if you’re using an incorrect data-chip. Once the correctness of the device has been ascertained, use one drop of control solution instead of a blood one and shake the vial 4 or 5 times before the use. After 45 seconds the result will appear on the display. A correct use of PRIMA system is confirmed if the results of repeated measurements are within the expected range.
The PRIMA control solution should be used before carrying out the Triglycerides Test in order to verify the accuracy of the measuring device, or to better learn the self-test procedure.
