Our One Step Pool and Spa Test Strips provide a quick and easy way to check the quality of your water in your above ground pool or hot tub. Using the pH, total alkalinity, total chlorine, free chlorine, total hardness, and cyanuric acid testing strips enables you to check water balance to help identify what chemicals are needed to be added to bring your pool or spa back to within the correct parameters. Untested water can become a breeding ground for bacteria or develop a chemical imbalance that makes eyes and skin feel uncomfortable.
When To Use
You should test your pool, spa, or hot tub twice a week but also if these other weather or maintenance events happen.
Measure the pH levels of your water to so you can ensure the water is safe and comfortable to use.

Ensure you have the correct amount of chlorine in your pool or hot tub to help prevent bacteria and harmful organisms.
Chlorine levels should be 1-3 ppm for pools and 3-5 ppm for hot tubs
Measure the total alkalinity levels to help prevent your water becoming corrosive.
Levels should measure 80 – 100 ppm for pools or 100 – 120 ppm for hot tubs
Levels should measure 1 – 2 ppm for pools or at least 3 ppm for hot tubs
Levels should measure 200 – 500 ppm for pools and hot tubs
Levels should measure 30 – 50, for best results, pH must be between 7.0-8.4
**NOTICE** These values are reported with a reference to CDC (Centers of Diseases Control and Prevention) guidelines
Just dip a strip into the water for 1 seconds and then remove it. Hold the strip horizontally and after 30 seconds compare the parameter pad colours with colour chart (60 seconds for total hardness).
